Our process

A clear path from first idea
to final installation.

Custom furniture involves many connected decisions. The studio’s six-stage process keeps the brief, materials, production and delivery aligned.

Six connected stages

Clarity before craft. Care through completion.

Each stage has a different purpose. The sequence helps avoid assumptions and creates a shared understanding of what will be made.

01

Share Your Vision

Begin with whatever you have: inspiration images, sketches, room dimensions, a furniture problem, a Pinterest board or an architect’s drawing.

The most useful information includes where the piece will go, who will use it, what it needs to store or support, and the visual direction you prefer.

02

Design Consultation

The initial idea is refined into a practical design direction. Proportions, use, construction approach and material compatibility are discussed before final decisions are made.

This is also the stage to identify constraints such as access, wall conditions, electrical points, existing finishes or unusual dimensions.

03

Material Selection

Wood species, finish, colour, hardware, upholstery and other details are selected according to the piece and the intended result.

Because natural wood varies in grain and tone, the final appearance should be understood as material character rather than machine-perfect visual repetition.

04

Handcrafted Production

After the specification and commercial terms are approved, the furniture is made from scratch by skilled artisans using traditional techniques and modern precision.

Production follows the agreed brief. Any project-specific update or variation should be communicated and recorded before it affects the build.

05

Quality Inspection

The completed piece is reviewed before dispatch. Dimensions, visible finish, hardware operation and overall alignment are checked against the agreed project details.

Natural characteristics of solid wood are considered separately from workmanship issues.

06

Delivery & Installation

Project location, access, floor level, lift availability, entry dimensions and installation needs should be confirmed in advance.

The final delivery and installation scope, timing and associated costs are set out in the project quotation.

Before production begins

Important details should be confirmed in writing.

A custom project becomes easier to manage when the approved brief is specific.

Dimensions & layout

Overall size, internal divisions, clearances and room measurements.

Materials & finishes

Wood, colour direction, surface treatment, hardware and upholstery where relevant.

Commercial scope

Quotation, payment stages, taxes, delivery, installation and exclusions.

Timeline assumptions

Expected production window and dependencies that could affect delivery.

Prepare for the first discussion

A project brief that saves time later.

These items are not mandatory, but even a few of them can make the design conversation more productive.

Room Photos

Wide views and close-ups of walls, corners, skirting, sockets and nearby furniture.

Basic Measurements

Wall width, available depth, ceiling height and door or lift dimensions.

Reference Images

Examples you like—and examples you do not—to clarify visual direction.

Functional List

Items to store, seating count, equipment size and daily use requirements.

Existing Palette

Flooring, wall colours, stone, fabric and metal finishes already in the space.

Project Location

City, building access, floor level and installation constraints.

What happens next

Start with a conversation, not a perfect drawing.

The studio can help organise an early idea into a usable brief. Final design, price, timeline and logistics are confirmed project by project.
